6 'Fictional' Deaths that broke my heart! - Grey's Anatomy

There are shows that one needs to watch alone. Particularly, when no one is around and Grey's Anatomy is one of them.

Why? Because I cry.

Even though I know the characters are fictional, I have become so invested in the show, that the characters have become very real to me. I am sure others can relate. I know this has nothing to do with what I am going to talk about in this blog post but am I the only one that cannot stand Jo! I wish they would just kill her off the show to be frank.

Anyways, I cannot stand death so the death of these six characters not only made me cry but broke my heart.

5) The Death of Denny Duquette

I was rooting for these two. I wanted him to get healthy and for them both to then get married. I wanted them to be happy, so when he died, I cried with Izzy.

"What about me".

4) The Death of Henry

Remember Teddy and Henry. They were together for only a short period but it felt like they were together for such a long time. It comes to show that it is not the years that count but the memories. Life isn't a matter of milestones (length), but of moments (depth). It was a very emotional scene.

"Henry is dead".

3) The Death of George O'Malley

When George O'Malley died, I was shook. It was very unexpected. He was such a sweet soul. When he had announced that he was going to join the Army, I was really happy for him and then all of a sudden, he's dead. This was a very sad scene.

"007"

2) The Death of Lexie Grey & Mark Sloan

When Lexie Grey died, I cried. I really did. I was not expecting her to die without at least her and Mark having a little bit of a happy ending. When she finally confessed her love for him right before the crash, I thought that, yes, that was it. These two would finally end up together. Boy, was I wrong. This scene broke my heart. Mark and Lexie truly loved each other, you could see it in each episode they were in. So when told Lexie on her deathbed, that "I love you, I've always been in love with you, I'll always be in love with you". His final declaration of love moved me. It hurt. It really did. They were supposed to end up together. Shortly after, Mark died. As heartbreaking as it was, I was happy that Mark was going to die.

They were truly "MEANT TO BE"!

1) The Death of Derek Shepherd

Last but not least Derek. I only started watching Grey's Anatomy around November 2015, so you know everyone was a little ahead of me. I loved Grey's Anatomy mainly because of Meredith and Derek. Once again, I know the show isn't real guys but come on, they had something a lot of couples don't have these days and that is chemistry. They loved each other and they had grown together. These two for me were it. Then BOOM, Derek dies. Not only was I broken but I cried as hard as I did when Rose let go of Jacks hand in Titanic.

"I'll never love another man the way I loved him".

Whose death made you cry the most? Let me know!
