Things are never as bad as they seem...

With every loss there is a gain and with every gain there's a loss.
The first thing an accountant is taught, is that with every credit one must make a debit and with every debit one must make a credit.
People go through things that don't seem quite fair to them. They can't comprehend when bad things happen to them. So when someone leaves, they aren't ready to move forward.
A loss is not necessarily a bad thing. Trussst me when I say that I've been through this. I just didn't understand why. Why me, oh Lord?. I thought that he was there for the long haul. However, I've come to realize that holding on does no good as you can't heal without truly letting go.
Some people aren't meant for you. Fair enough, they were there for you at a time when nobody else was there for you. You shared pain together, you shared losses together. But that doesn't mean you hold unto them. Some people are able to just walk away from you. That this is not what they wanted. Yes, there are people who are able to do just that. Who are able to just walk away and not look back but if people are walking away from you then please please and please, LET THEM WALK! Don't get upset. It does hurt when someone leaves. It takes your mind a while to process that the person who has always been there for you is now gone. But let them go.
If they left, it was not an accident. If you have tried and tried to make it work and it just won't work then leave it be, it's no accident. Accept it as the will of God. Wave them goodbye and be on your way. Whatever God wants you to have he will give it to you. Don't ever second guess it.

When people walk away from you let them walk away, why?, because your destiny was never tied to them. If your destiny was tied to that person, that person would still be in your life and would still be by your side. If they are ready to up and leave then they can't stay. Don't let them hold you back.
The bible says in 1 John 2:19 that "they went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us".
So stop begging people to stay when they want to leave.
There are people who will just be there for you for a season but you will meet someone who's not just there for the season but for a lifetime. Someone who wants to spend their lives with you, stays with you through the end and through thick and thin. Someone who is there for you through it all.
Stop begging people to stay because you believe they have done so much more good for you than bad. That there's just no way you can let them leave you because you can think about are all the good times that you both shared.
Sometimes in order to fulfill one's destiny, the person who is doing the right thing has to leave because the ones holding you down won't leave as they are only in it for themselves.
There will be plenty of other good times with other people. So allow them to leave and make room for something better. Believe me when I say, IT WILL GET BETTER. There's a reason for it all, nothing just happens.
If you had not met that person from your 'yesteryear', you would not be where you are today. You would not have grown as much as you have today. Things don't just happen, people don't just enter your life and then leave with no purpose. The Lord orders your steps. The bible says, "The steps of a man are established by the LORD" Psalm 37:23.
Jonah who God had asked to go to Nineveh, decided to go another way and even as much as he tried to hide, he still ended up in the place the Lord had sent him to in the first place. There's a reason for it all.

Don't you agree?
